DescriptionTwo gladiators and a lion in an arena. One gladiator, apparently wounded, lies on his spear and shield as the lion attacks him. The second gladiator, armed with a spear, shield and helmet, attacks the lion. The curved wall of the arena is in the background, with an opening in the upper left corner.
