DescriptionFour legged, red lacquer, square tray. The face of the tray has nine cranes of inlaid mother-of-pearl in various postures of flight against a background of scattered clouds drawn in gold lacquer. In the lower left corner is a mother-of-pearl inlaid bank of bamboo and reeds. Inside and outside of rim have inlaid dragons on each side. Rim and legs have incised gold decoration.On View
