DescriptionMask box decorated in maki-e on dark brown lacquer. Horai-san motif on lid top: sides of box and lid decorated with chrysanthemums and various insects; ends of box and lid decorated with bamboo, prunus blossoms, cranes and tortoise. Interior is lacquered but undecorated. Metal mounts in chrysanthemum blossom form.
