DescriptionThe headrest itself, shaped in cross-section like a parenthesis and incised with two triangles formed of smaller triangles, is supported on a plinth in the form of an elongated animal caught between striated bars emerging from a figure-8 shaped base. It is carved from one piece of wood. The animal, possibly a leopard, is covered with incised rectilinear designs. The piece is dark brown with a satin-like patina.On View
