DescriptionThe Madonna, wearing a red tunic and blue mantle, is seated in the foreground before a green drapery. With her right hand, she holds the Christ Child who is standing on her lap. With her left hand, she holds a book. To the left and behind the figures, is a landscape with a shepherd, sheep, and animals. In the middle ground near the shepherd, is a road which zig-zags across a crumbling bridge with tiny figures on it, toward a large building in the background. On View
