DescriptionThe Virgin kneels on one knee at center, supporting the Christ Child, who places a ring on St. Catherine's finger. St. Catherine kneels at lower right, a palm frond resting on her arm. Her left hand is placed upon a broken wheel and on the wheel is a sword. A man and a woman (see remarks) and St. John the Baptist stand behind, the Baptist pointing to the Child. In the background at left is a wooded area, at right an open vista with houses.
