DescriptionIn the foreground, in high relief, is the Holy Family and other figures in front of a stable. The Virgin is kneeling with her hands folded in prayer. She is wearing a mantle decorated with geometric patterns and Latin inscriptions. A small child, in the lower center, holds a portion of the Virgin's mantle to form a cradle upon which lies the Christ Child. In the lower right there is a cluster of people. Entering the composition from the upper left there is a winding path with people, including shepherds and the Three Magi.On View
