BiographyDaniel Gilbert (born January 17, 1962) is an American businessman, investor, and philanthropist. He is the cofounder of Quicken Loans and founder of Rock Ventures.[3] He is the owner of the National Basketball Association's Cleveland Cavaliers.[4] Gilbert owns several sports franchises, including the American Hockey League's Cleveland Monsters, the Arena Football League's Cleveland Gladiators, and the NBA G League's Canton Charge. He operates the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, home to the Cavaliers, Monsters, and Gladiators.
Gilbert is the chairman of JACK Entertainment (formerly Rock Gaming), which opened its first Horseshoe Casino (now JACK Cleveland Casino) in downtown Cleveland in May 2012.[5]
