DescriptionWoman in a long, flower-patterned, earth-red dress floats above a group of people, some of whom reach towards her. The woman's back is towards the viewer, her head turned right, and she holds a copy of "La Depeche" in her outstretched hands. Additional copies of the newspaper float to her right and fill the bottom right corner. Sketched on the center right edge is a mansardian facade with sculpture with an armorial "D" above the doorway. The background consists of telegraph wires stretching across the upper third of the composition, a speckled green ground and pink clouds.
