The Fillmore, despite its short run, was the epicenter for rock n' roll in the late sixties; the Fillmore was the launching pad for numerous careers including Jethro Tull, The Allman Brothers, and many more. Amid the diverse climate of New York City's Lower East Side, the Fillmore was a relic to burgeoning counter-culture and will be remembered for years, despite its sad vacancy in 1971.
