DescriptionDeep, ovoid-shaped bowl is made of shell-tempered grayware (Bell Plain). Tempering is visible in the vessel surface. Large, S-shaped crested bird head relief on one rim with serrated crest and broad, slightly pointed bill like a water bird. Opposite rim has stepped, rectangular tail. The bottom is flattened.
