DescriptionCoffeepot, of cylindrical form flaring outward slightly at the base and neck. Flat lid hinged to pot. Body of pot and top of lid are overlaid with a sheet of copper incorporating swirling designs in brass or gold, silver, and possibly niello. The silver edges overlapping the copper are slightly curving and irregular. Eight silver dragonflies are applied to the copper body. A single silver dragonfly serves as a finial. The tubular handle and triangular spout are of silver incorporating swirling designs in copper. Ivory inserts separate handle from copper sockets. The silver base is decorated with geometric rosettes in copper and brass.
