DescriptionThe scene represents the interior of a harem with two women lounging on a divan in the back ground and two other women seated on the floor at the right next to a hammered brass table. Three males dressed in white cone shapped hats and white pantaloons are seated against the wall at the left. One plays a musical instrument while another appears to be talking. The women are dressed in bright costumes and have their attention directed at the men. The room is decorated with ornate floor rugs, fabrics and pillows both on the divan and on the walls. A landscape of green, blue and white is seen through a small open window at the top left of center background. On View
