The strap is attached to the bag on the left side. Each end of the strap has three finger shaped appendages, bound with cloth and beaded in a pattern of four attached diamonds. The left half of the strap (as viewed) is beaded in a stylized floral pattern; the right half is beaded with fat wavy-edged X's with diamond centers. The spaces between the X's form the negative design of an elaborate +, creating a positive / negative effect. The bag recto has the following sequence of designs from top to bottom: a row of six winged shapes; a narrow red band; a row of pink, ochre and black triangles; fifteen metal cones with red yarn tufts; a red band; a symmetrical repetition (mirror image) of an abstract leaf design; a narrow red band; seventeen metal cones and yarn tufts. Colors of beadwork: pink, blue, maroon, ochre, black, most elements outlined in white.
