Curator NotesNarrow cube form standing on one corner supported on one edge near the bottom by a single small disc. From the upper corner rises a stepped structure of four smaller cubes surmounted by a form of the same proportions as the lower form and the same size as the others. A small disc of the same material is welded to the base of the bottom square.

Text EntriesThe sculptures in this series are made of stainless steel with a hand-brushed finish reminiscent of the gestural strokes of Abstract Expressionist painting. The Cubi works consist of arrangements of geometric shapes, which highlight his interest in balance and the contrast between positive and negative space.
