ProvenancePurchased from Jacques Rosenthal, Munich, 1 March 1930. This flute belonged to Frederick the Great; after his death it was presented by King Frederick William II to his minister, Woellner. It remained in Woellner's family until it was sold by Dr. Achim von Arnim through Jacques Rosenthal.
