DescriptionConical in shape with flaring walls; resting on low footring. Composite body, luster painted with glaze stained decoration in blue and scratched decoration. Interior with seated male figure in reserve against a luster background with half-palmette arabesques and scratched scrolls; surrounded by band of scratched inscription and wide band of palmettes enclosed in blue medallions alternating with inscriptions in luster; outer band of scratched inscription on luster ground; exterior with large Kufic inscription in reserve and blue decoration. Pieced together from many fragments; no large losses; luster worn and missing in areas.On View
