DescriptionTransitional-style salon from a chateau near Amiens, consisting of original boiseries and two marble fireplaces. Originally installed in 1927; reinstalled (with alterations and restorations) in 1945. Alterations include the addition of two bookcases on either side of mirror and two cases for porcelain on either side of the fireplace. Panels for these cases are new, although moldings from original doors have been incorporated into the design. One of the two fireplaces was sold ca. 1945 at time of alterations. Renovated (and restored to original dimensions), painted, and refurnished in 1978.On View
